8:34 PM Filipino Racism

I am probably one of the least patriotic people you will meet here in the Philippines. I don't have much interest for local music, local movies or local celebrities. I don't like Wowowee and would never ever be caught dead on that show that everyone else thinks is cool (for lack of words) which befuddles me. BUT calling my mother hen a "Nation of Servants" - I'm like, WTF man.

I overheard about this article that a Chinese man wrote when my mom was watching the news last night. It's on the tug of war to claim Spratly Islands. Infuriated as he was, he did not have a right to say that we, Filipinos, are not capable of overpowering them just because we're supposed to be 'servants'. This sucks big time especially because in the future if things fall into places I want them to fall into - if you get what I mean - I'm going to be a nurse. Well, what else could I be right? I mean, I'm not taking up Computer Science (which I wanted ) or Literature (which I also wanted ) , I'm taking up Nursing so a nurse is what I'm going to be...hopefully. We'll see after April 1 if the dream doesn't end here. So the point is that a nurse doesn't fall far from a domestic helper or a maid - in my opinion - so now I'm doubting this route even more. On the other hand, people say I barely look like a Filipino. I look more like a half-breed.

I shall eat my milk and Orea cookies now. Adieu.
